The Bridgeway Hotel is a "Brand New Facility" operated by Maurice & Mary Griffiths. It is located less than 10 minutes from the Marine Atlantic ferry, which travels 3 times a week to North Sydney, Nova Scotia, from late June to late September. The Bridgeway takes its name from the Placentia Lift Bridge, a fully operational lift bridge that is nearby and operates daily to allow, both fishing and pleasure boats, access to and from Placentia.
